Still in college, I was designing and building scenery for several Chicago theater companies when I joined with two partners and opened Tenn East Studios in Chicago. At Tenn East, I shot production stills on the sets of TV commercials, head shots, comp cards, and portfolios for actors and models, and the occasional product shots for such glamorous accounts as Loctite Adhesives, and Whirlpool Appliances. In 1979 I sold my soul and began designing discotheques. Those were dark days indeed.
Managing technology in the investment banking division of a big Swiss bank, socializing IT investments in a global marketing and communications company, and raising a kid occupied my next 30 years. Now I have returned to what I love best (don't tell the kid)...photography.
Today I focus (pun intended) on b'nei (bar and bat) mitzvah, weddings, family gatherings and other life-cycle events. I love shooting concerts and plays, head shots for performers, individual and family portraits, and online profiles ranging from Linked-In to dating web sites.
